Savannah, GA: Finale
Since Charleston had so much southern charm, I wondered how Savannah would compare. I am happy to report that I love them BOTH... very much!

Savannah, GA: River Street
Today we explored Savannah's River Street. With shops, pubs & restaurants all along the Savannah River, we had a great time – and a few beers!
Savannah, GA: Part One
A trolley ride gave us a lay of the land, and we set out to visit some of the things our conductor shared. It was so much fun!
Morris Island Lighthouse Eco-Tour
The weather was bleak but it was today or never. The lighthouse was not the star of the day, but lots of other things made this a great tour!
Magnolia Plantation and Gardens
We spent today on the paths of a plantation along the Ashley. The flowers were past their prime, but the Plantation House tour was very good.

Charleston, SC
We wandered the streets to gawk at historic homes along the Cooper River past Rainbow Row to Battery Park, and ended with a martini at Toast.
Mountain Farm Museum
Today we went to Bryson City, NC for a train ride along the Tuckasegee. On our return we stumbled upon the Mountain Farm Museum! What a find!

Cades Cove
Today we took the Cades Cove Loop through GSMNP. With a backdrop of mountains, the road winds through a valley with lush and rolling hills.

The Great Smoky Mountains
This day started and ended with great views from our balcony – with lunch and shopping in between. And we are minutes to the Smoky Mountains!
Road Trip!
We were tourists with an itinerary and 3 or more stops, fitting in friends and family along the way. Welcome to our first official Road Trip!
