Fall for New England 2021

Posts from our New England road trip are complete. This recap provides an outline of where we went and links to posts about each stop.

Our last stops of the trip were in PA, though two were encores. The story of Polymath Park's beginnings were very intriguing. Check it out!

This post is chock full of gorgeous lighthouses! Along with the lights came fantastic views and birds, and just a little more history.

In this post we'll see Cape Cod Bay, Nantucket Sound, Barnstable Harbor, and the Atlantic Ocean. And you know what that means – lighthouses!

We were blessed with beautiful days in Boston and we took advantage of every hour that we could, to be out and about exploring.

For our three days in Boston, we sprung for a great hotel right near the Freedom Trail. We strolled right out of our hotel and into the city.

As someone who hated high school history class, I'm amazed at how much I enjoy visiting places from those dreaded books and lectures.

This post is a combination of all things New Hampshire in one fantastic day – babbling brooks, waterfalls, walks in the woods, and more!

Under a covered bridge is a good place to find its heart and imagine what it has lived through – above the ever-changing flow of a river.

Although Jim did not appreciate this driving experience, the views and the excitement on the Mount Washington Auto Road were fantastic!

Last time we were here, it was rainy, cloudy and the gates were closed, but we returned nine years later on a truly spectacular day.

We moved our home base to NH near the Attitash whistle stop. Here we had plenty of opportunities to explore the splendor of New Hampshire.

As our stay in Wilmington winds down, this post takes us on Route 9 which offers just a glimpse of Vermont's extraordinary Green Mountains.

This post proves we're not being couch potatoes with some random stops and a plethora of covered bridges that we found in the vicinity.

After some stops in NY, we arrived at the historic Crafts Inn. It will be a fun week in this beautiful town and the surrounding areas.

Starting this day in Niagara Falls perched right next to its thundering waters, we took the scenic route to a lovely overnight in Sodus, NY.

First stop was the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, where we perused videos, old photos and displays about our favorite musicians from days gone by.
