Southeast to Sunshine 2025

Blogposts from our 2025 Winter Road Trip are complete. This post provides an outline of what we saw and links to posts about each stop.

Today we visited Tybee Island for a lighthouse/museum, a sunset cruise, and a delicious seafood boil. What a great place to end this series!

Our tour at the American Prohibition Museum ended with a cocktail, so I guess we know where this establishment stands on the question!

A day in Savannah included a Historical Society, the Mercer-Williams House, the Low House Museum, and a couple of pretty and tasty cocktails.

As our road trip continues, we transition to Savannah with a stop at the GTM Research Center, which was educational and absolutely beautiful!

Henry Flagler's East Coast Railway started in Jacksonville and ended in Key West, and he developed high-end hotels all along the way.

Our winter road trip continues in St. Augustine. This will be a short post about a little wine and music – after we tour a church, of course.

We've vacationed in Orlando more often than anywhere else. But where this post gets interesting is on moving day when we visit Winter Park.

We continue in Matlacha with a trip to Little Pine Island and a walk to Community Park to see the other side of our canal and bird paradise.

Four nights in this funky little town were not nearly enough. We need a return trip for more sittin' on the dock of the bay, wastin' time.

Although it took us two days, we didn't mind the return trip to Downtown Panama City – with another brewery, a great meal, and live music.

After a great tour of the USS Alabama in Mobile, we completed our relocation to Panama City, FL where the sun and sand were waiting for us!

Our stay in New Orleans continues with a walk to entertainment at the historic Preservation Hall, making lots of stops along the way.

After two days' drive we arrived in NOLA, where we enjoyed some Motown at the gorgeous Saenger Theatre. So much talent and such great songs!
