Our itinerary:

New England Autumn 2024
Painesville, OH (1 night) Comfort Inn. We visited Seneca Falls, NY for a great lunch, the “It’s a Wonderful Life” Bridge, the Women’s Rights National Historical Park, and the Wesleyan Chapel. Then to Montezuma to its Winery and National Wildlife Refuge. Syracuse, NY (1 night) Comfort Inn-NYS Fairgrounds. We started the day at Chittenango Falls State Park in Cazenovia, NY with a stop in Bennington, VT before our arrival in Wilmington.

Crafts Inn Revisited
Wilmington, VT (7 nights) The Crafts Inn. Our first time in Vermont was just a day trip, which clearly was not enough! We’ve returned twice since – to the same resort in Wilmington. Located at the southern end of the state, we were in between two great towns with spectacular scenery around every curve.

Three Hikes & Some Church Music
Our stay in Wilmington, VT continues. Today we ventured to Brattleboro to explore a small town we just passed through on our last trip to Vermont. A hike and a museum were on tap, but instead of the beers we enjoyed in Arizona earlier this year, tonight we’ll visit a renovated Victorian Gothic church for some real Church Music!

Not the Fastest Route
Lincoln, NH (5 nights) South Mountain Resort. Today we zigged and zagged from Wilmington, VT to our new home base in Lincoln, NH. Normally a 2.5-hour drive, today it took us a lot longer as we straddled River Road and Highways 12 and 5 to see six covered bridges in Vermont and New Hampshire.

A Beautiful Ending
Our stay in Lincoln, NH continues. Today we visited Littleton, NH. There we were blessed with autumn’s splendor as we explored this lovely town on the northern edge of the White Mountains and along the fantastic Ammonoosuc River. Great food and beers and a lovely River Walk to explore a suspension bridge, a covered bridge, and the Pollyanna Gateway in this beautiful “Glad Town”.
Another great road trip is officially in the books!
Up Next: Southeast to Sunshine
Happy trails,
