Life is Short.

Take Time to Travel.

Live vicariously through my travels while you’re in-between yours!

Vacations were a huge part of my childhood and now road trips keep us busy during retirement. We try to make the journeys as exciting as the destinations.

At the end of each trip, I always include a “recap” which includes what we saw, where we stayed, and a link to each post. My hope is to inspire you to use every one of your vacation days. Enjoy!

Our Latest Adventures

I don't do this often, but I didn't get very far on my "Eight State Getaway" posts anyway, so the rest are getting the boot (for now) in favor of a series from our latest winter road trip. I'll try to skim over some of the other stuff before we get to our absolutely fabulous stops in Utah. I can hardly wait to get started on these posts, so follow my facebook page so you'll know when each new post is complete!

Please excuse the mess on older posts while I update my site.

  • Red Rocks to Sin City

In this post we left Sedona for six more nights back in Peoria, then on to Las Vegas. And you know us – we always take the scenic route!

  • Valley of the Sun to Red Rock Country

Peoria means family, friends, and day trips near (and sometimes far). Sedona is all about the red rocks, and Oak Creek and Red Rock Canyons.

  • Oil Fields to Radiant Skies

With 3 overnights from TX to AZ, we stopped in Carlsbad, Bisbee, Tombstone, and the magnificent St. Anthony’s Greek Orthodox Monastery.

  • Escape the Tundra 2019

This post covers stops in IA, MO and 7 nights in TX, with day trips including San Antonio, Austin, and the fabulous Hamilton Pool.

  • Regensburg, Germany

Today we'll go back in time on a walking tour. Untouched by bombing during WWII, Regensburg is one of Germany's most well-preserved cities.

  • Schärding Town Visit

A bus ride through the Bavarian countryside took us back into Austria, to a place with lots of flowers and rows of different-colored houses.

Life is Short. Take Time to Travel.

Use every one of your vacation days my friends. And consider a journal of your experiences, so you can remember some little detail that will make you smile for years to come.
