Life is Short.

Take Time to Travel.

Live vicariously through my travels while you’re in-between yours!

Vacations were a huge part of my childhood and now road trips keep us busy during retirement. We try to make the journeys as exciting as the destinations.

At the end of each trip, I always include a “recap” which includes what we saw, where we stayed, and a link to each post. My hope is to inspire you to use every one of your vacation days. Enjoy!

Our Latest Adventures

I don't do this often, but I didn't get very far on my "Eight State Getaway" posts anyway, so the rest are getting the boot (for now) in favor of a series from our latest winter road trip. I'll try to skim over some of the other stuff before we get to our absolutely fabulous stops in Utah. I can hardly wait to get started on these posts, so follow my facebook page so you'll know when each new post is complete!

Please excuse the mess on older posts while I update my site.

  • Passau, Germany

We walked through this colorful town with lovely facades to St. Stephen's Cathedral for a concert on Europe's largest pipe organ.

  • The Melk Abbey

With several hours in Melk – where the Danube and Melk Rivers converge – a visit to the renowned 900-year-old Melk Abbey was a must-see.

  • Vienna en route to Melk

This post begins with a tour of Schönbrunn Palace and ends with a slideshow that lasts as long as one of my favorite songs from the past.

  • Vienna, Austria

Our guided bus & walking tour took us along Ringstrasse, thru Heroes' Gate, Heldenplatz Square, Joseph Square, St. Michael's Square & more.

  • En route to Vienna

The views leaving Budapest & Tea Time w/Apple Strudel made for a pleasant 24-hour trip to Vienna for a fabulous concert at Palais Auersperg.

  • Budapest

A bus tour of Pest started our day, then we crossed over the Danube to the Buda side. Later... a Budapest thermal bath... ahh... relaxing...
