Life is Short.

Take Time to Travel.

Live vicariously through my travels while you’re in-between yours!

Vacations were a huge part of my childhood and now road trips keep us busy during retirement. We try to make the journeys as exciting as the destinations.

At the end of each trip, I always include a “recap” which includes what we saw, where we stayed, and a link to each post. My hope is to inspire you to use every one of your vacation days. Enjoy!

Our Latest Adventures

Posts from our 2026 road trip – aptly titled "The Spectacular Southwest" – are coming along. Follow my facebook page so you'll know when there's a new one. The "Eight State Getaway" series will continue once these posts are complete.

Please excuse the mess on older posts while I update my site.

  • En route to Vienna

The views leaving Budapest & Tea Time w/Apple Strudel made for a pleasant 24-hour trip to Vienna for a fabulous concert at Palais Auersperg.

  • Budapest

A bus tour of Pest started our day, then we crossed over the Danube to the Buda side. Later... a Budapest thermal bath... ahh... relaxing...

  • Boarding the Skadi

We settled into our cabin and explored a bit. After dinner we were treated to a scenic evening cruise to see the lights of Budapest.

  • Kutna Hora

Our road trip thru the Czech countryside brought us to the Sedlec Ossuary. Decorated with human skeletons, it sounds gruesome, but it wasn't.

  • Awe-Inspiring Prague: Part Two

We continue our day in Prague with a visit to the John Lennon Wall, the Prague Castle Complex, Lobkowicz Palace and a whole lot more!

  • Awe-Inspiring Prague

We were a tad overzealous with three excursions today, but we have to see as much as we can while we're here! This post covers the first.
