Life is Short.

Take Time to Travel.

Live vicariously through my travels while you’re in-between yours!

Vacations were a huge part of my childhood and now road trips keep us busy during retirement. We try to make the journeys as exciting as the destinations.

At the end of each trip, I always include a “recap” which includes what we saw, where we stayed, and a link to each post. My hope is to inspire you to use every one of your vacation days. Enjoy!

Our Latest Adventures

Posts from our 2026 road trip – aptly titled "The Spectacular Southwest" – are coming along. Follow my facebook page so you'll know when there's a new one. The "Eight State Getaway" series will continue once these posts are complete.

Please excuse the mess on older posts while I update my site.

  • Crafts Inn Revisited

On this trip we returned to the same resort in Wilmington, VT – at the southern end of the state with spectacular scenery around every curve.

  • A New England Autumn

While our itinerary included more waterfalls and covered bridges, breweries, and a visit to Delaware – our 50th state – life had other plans.

  • Red Rocks Recap

Blogposts from "Return to the Red Rocks" are complete. This post provides an outline of where we went, what we saw and links to posts associated with each stop.

  • Relaxing in Ridgedale

Typically the final weeks of our AZ trips are spent in MO where we can relax by the fire. Although cooler in March, temps are way better than Wisconsin's!

  • A Solemn Day in OKC

We usually just pass through OK on our way home, but this time we stopped to see an excellent memorial to an event that I remember like it was yesterday.

  • Along Oak Creek Canyon

Sedona in mid-February has fewer tourists, crisp fresh air, and plenty of sunshine. I am grateful for every visit to gaze upon its splendid red rocks.

Life is Short. Take Time to Travel.

Use every one of your vacation days my friends. And consider a journal of your experiences, so you can remember some little detail that will make you smile for years to come.
